To properly bestow the empowerment of the Wrathful Yidam of the Secret Cycle, one must gather the five perfections: The essence of the Sugatas pervades all beings; it is permissible to bestow it to anyone except Rudra. Draw a mandala with nine wheels; outwardly, complete it with a fully detailed gate. If abbreviating, draw a mandala with five lines. Prepare ten vases, or even just one. Adorn it with fitting attire and images. Include the five families, vajra, bell, and crown ornaments, along with images, mantra garlands, and hand implements. Gather the samaya substances, secret skull cup, consort, and the identifying mirror and symbolic items. Having accomplished the practice, inseparable from oneself and the front: The disciple is bathed, and obstacles are dispelled. From behind the curtain, they make supplication: Ho! Guru, the embodiment of all Sugatas, You who liberate beings wandering in the cycle of existence, especially we beseech you to liberate us! The master says: 'Ema! In this mandala of the Sugatas, those who are vessels fit to enter properly are rare. If you can keep the samaya, you may enter. If you enter, you will achieve supreme and common siddhis.' The disciple says: 'Terrified by the cycle of existence, in order to be freed from great fears, I will not forsake the samaya even for my life, and I will do as you command.' The master says: 'If that is so, then you may enter this city of Heruka. The siddhis of body, speech, and mind will be accomplished in this life, so generate joy!' The curtain is removed, and they are led inside. The disciple offers payment, and the guru explains the Dharma with five certainties. The disciples again prostrate and offer a blindfold: Ho! Guru, the blissful Sugata, Yidam deity, master of all siddhis, Chief of the Dakinis, consider us! Please quickly lead us into this great mandala! The master says: 'In this great place, those who are not destined have no access. Only those who know the methods of the vehicle, have a pure lineage, and possess merit may enter, as the Victorious Ones have said. Therefore, purify your lineage and accumulate merit.' The Individual Liberation Vows and Bodhicitta, taught by the Nirmanakaya teacher; The vows of the five families, taught by the Sambhogakaya teacher, I will take them all; Especially the twenty-five and distinct vows of body, speech, and mind of glorious Heruka, as they are shown, I will protect; Even for my life, I will not give them up, I pray for the bestowing of the supreme lineage of the Sugatas! Taking the vow and placing it on the oath, I am the master of all Buddhas; Glorious Heruka, the unsurpassed, I am the great glorious supreme one; Do not despise me! Placing the vajra garland on the head, I am the master, Samantabhadra; You will not break my command, and the Dharma taught by the Sugata lineage; Do not hesitate to speak! This is the symbol, symbolizing the mandala of meaning, which is the nature of one's own mind, perfected in the nine wisdoms. Be sure to recognize this. Having entered in this way, in order to fully empower, offer the mandala and pray: Ho! Please enter this mandala of nine wisdoms and ripen me. Please ripen and liberate me until the end, and take me to the realm of non-abiding. After praying in this way, the master holds the vase: Hum! 【English Translation】 སརྦ་གུ་ཎ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Tibetan) సర్వగుణ అభిషించ హూం (Sanskrit Devanagari) sarva guṇa abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Sanskrit Romanization) All qualities, empower, Hūṃ! ཕྲིན་ལས་ཁྱུང་གི་དབང་བསྐུར་ནི༔ This is the empowerment of the Garuda activity: གདུག་པ་ཀླུ་འདུལ་བྱ་ཁྱུང་དཀར་ནག་གཉིས༔ The black and white Garudas subdue the malicious nāgas. སྤྲུལ་པའི་ཁྲ་ཐབས་མང་པོ་ལས་ལ་འགྱེད༔ Emanated hawks perform many activities. ལོག་རྟོག་འདུལ་ཕྱིར་དཔལ་ཆེན་ཁྱུང་གི་དབང་༔ To subdue wrong views, the empowerment of the glorious Garuda. ལས་སྦྱོར་ལྷུན་གྱིས་འགྲུབ་ཕྱིར་དབང་བསྐུར་རོ༔ The empowerment is given so that activities and endeavors are spontaneously accomplished. ཁྲོཾ་ག་རུ་ཌཿཀརྨ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Tibetan) క్రోమ్ గరుడ కర్మ అభిషించ హూం (Sanskrit Devanagari) kroṃ garuḍa karma abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Sanskrit Romanization) Kroṃ! The nature of mind is primordially pure. སྟོང་གསལ་རང་བྱུང་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྩལ༔ The power of empty-clear, self-arisen wisdom, ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པ་མེ་ལོང་བཞིན༔ is spontaneously accomplished like a mirror. རིག་རྩལ་མཆོག་གི་དབང་ཐོབ་ཤོག༔ May the empowerment of the supreme awareness power be obtained! དྷརྨ་དྷཱ་ཏུ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཨཱ༔ (Tibetan) धर्मधातु अभिषించ ఆః (Sanskrit Devanagari) dharmadhātu abhiṣiñca āḥ (Sanskrit Romanization) Dharmadhātu, empower, Āḥ! ཧོ༔ རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའི་མེ་ལོང་གི་དབང་བསྐུར་པས༔ By bestowing the empowerment of the mirror of Vajrasattva, མི་གནས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་རྟོགས་པ་མངོན་དུ་འགྱུར་བར་གྱུར་ཅིག༔ may the realization of non-abiding wisdom become manifest! མེ་ཏོག་འཐོར་ཞིང་བརྡ་དོན་བཤད༔ Scatter flowers and explain the symbolic meaning. དབྱིངས་ཀྱི་རང་བཞིན་མེ་ལོང་ལ༔ In the mirror of the nature of space, རྨ་བྱའི་མདོངས་ལྟར་ཅི་ཡང་འཆར༔ everything appears like the colors of a peacock's tail. རིག་རྩལ་ཟུང་འཇུག་རྩལ་གྱི་དབང་༔ The empowerment of the power of awareness and union, ཡང་དག་པར་ནི་རྟོགས་པར་ཤོག༔ may it be truly realized! དྷརྨ་ཛྙཱ་ན་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Tibetan) धर्मज्ञान अभिषించ హూం (Sanskrit Devanagari) dharmajñāna abhiṣiñca hūṃ (Sanskrit Romanization) Dharma-jñāna, empower, Hūṃ! ཧོ༔ རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ལ་ཐོད་རྒལ་གྱི་དབང་བསྐུར་པས༔ By bestowing the empowerment of thögal to the son of the lineage, དབྱིངས་ཡེ་ཟུང་དུ་འཇུག་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་མངོན་དུ་འགྱུར་བར་གྱུར་ཅིག༔ may the realization of the union of space and wisdom become manifest! མེ་ཏོག་འཐོར་ཞིང་བརྡ་དོན་བཤད༔ Scatter flowers and explain the symbolic meaning. ཡོངས་རྫོགས་སློབ་མའི་དབང་བསྐུར་རྫོགས༔ The complete empowerment of all disciples is complete. རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་དབང་བསྐུར་ནི༔ The empowerment of the vajra master: སློབ་མ་ཁྲི་ལ་མངའ་གསོལ་ཞིང་༔ The disciple is enthroned, གཞན་སྣང་ཟིལ་གྱིས་གནོན་པའི་ཁྲི་སྟེང་དུ༔ on a throne that overpowers the appearances of others. སློབ་མ་དཔལ་ཆེན་རང་གི་རིག་པར་རྟོགས༔ The disciple realizes the great glory of his own awareness. བཀྲ་ཤིས་གདུགས་དང་རྒྱལ་མཚན་རོལ་མོའི་སྒྲ༔ Auspicious umbrellas, banners, and the sound of music, རྒྱལ་བས་མེ་ཏོག་འཐོར་བས་མངའ་གསོལ་ཞིང་༔ the victorious ones consecrate by scattering flowers, འགྲོ་དོན་མཛད་པའི་གླེགས་བམ་ཕྱག་ཤིང་དང་༔ scriptures and staffs that accomplish the benefit of beings, ཆོས་ཀྱི་དུང་ཆེན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་མངའ་དབུལ་ལོ༔ and great dharma conches are offered. རྟེན་འབྲེལ་སྙིང་པོ་བརྗོད་པར་བྱ༔ The essence of dependent arising is recited. གདུག་པའི་དགྲ་བགེགས་བསྒྲལ་དབང་ནི༔ The empowerment to subdue malicious enemies and obstacles: ཧཱུྃ༔ རྣམ་ཐར་གསུམ་གྱི་ཨེ་དབང་།༔ Hūṃ!
